Durable cement is key to building a bright future

"New academic year has started in the 3 schools that host nearly 3,000 students, which were founded with the support of the Batı Anadolu Group. Mr. Fatih Usta, the Human Resources Director of the Batı Anadolu Group, who had participated in the ceremony held at the Batı Anadolu Cement Middle School on the occasion of the start of the new academic year, has said: ""Our schools, which aim to educate our students based on Ataturk's principles and reforms, are our biggest source of pride"".  

Mr. Fatih Usta continued as follows: ""As the Batı Anadolu Group, in the recent years we have consecutively built two schools in the Bornova district of Izmir province, and one school in the Söke district of Aydın province, and handed them over to the Ministry of National Education. However, we care not only to invest in the buildings and internal equipment of these schools, but also in the academic equipment, sports, arts and social activities of these schools every year. Our children, who are studying at our schools, attend Tübitak (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) science fairs, mind games, robotic coding and chess trainings, as well as the football, basketball, volleyball and folk dance practices. All three of our schools have 'Nutrition Friendly School' and 'White Flag' certificates. And our joy is heightened at the beginning of every academic year. How happy we are! ""

Mr. Fatih Usta, the Human Resources Director of the Batı Anadolu Group, has said: ""In terms of the support we provide to these schools, we only contribute to the mortar of the foundation of a bright future, otherwise it is our esteemed teachers, who will actually build that future"" and wished success to the teachers and students.

Having made various social investments in the fields of education, health, culture and arts in line with its understanding of ""responsible industrialism"", Batı Anadolu Group has built Batıçim Elementary School, Batı Anadolu Çimento Middle School and Batı Söke Çimento Middle School, which serve up to 3000 students in a total of 60 classrooms.

All of the Batı Anadolu Group's schools are equipped with a ""White Flag"" certificate. This certificate is given by the Ministries of Health and National Education to the schools that score 90 points over 100 points in terms of cleanliness, within the framework of the project aimed at promoting cleanliness and hygiene in schools.

All of the Batı Anadolu Group's schools are also equipped with a ""Nutrition Friendly School"" certificate, which is given by the Ministries of Health and National Education within the scope of the ""Nutrition Friendly School Project"" aimed at increasing the awareness of healthy nutrition and active life and supporting good practices in this regard. As of today, nearly 2,250 schools from among over 65 thousand schools across Turkey have been granted this ""Nutrition Friendly School"" certificate. "
