1960s

1966

Our company, was established as a joint stock company open to public, officially by İzmir İthalat Anonim Şirketi, İzmir Toptan Ticaret Anonim Şirketi, Alver Sanayi ve Ticaret Türk Anonim Ortaklığı, Şevket Filibeli, Seyit Şanlı, Mehmet Yeniler, Rıfat Yemişçi, Mehmet Orhon, Muzaffer Yalman, Ali Mütevellioğlu, Kamil Tınas with a capital of 500.000 TL under the title “Batı Anadolu Çimento Sanayii A.Ş.”.


1967

The foundations of our first cement plant were laid on a field of 96.000 m2.


1969

Construction and assembly works were completed and thus our plant, having a kiln with a clinker production capacity of 420.000 tons/year, a cement mill with a capacity of 350.000 tons/year, sales capacity of 1.500 tons per day with 4 packaging lines and a stocking capacity of 5.000 tons, was commissioned.


1969

Our first clinker production, first cement production, first cement sale was realized.


1970s

1972

Second cement mill with a capacity of 55 tons/hour was commissioned.


1976

Second kiln with a clinker capacity of 420.000 tons/year was commissioned.


1977

Yapsan İnş. Malz. ve Mad. San. ve Tic. A.Ş. was established.


1978

Yap-Mal Yapı Mlz. Taş. Loj. ve Liman İşl. Tic. ve San. Ltd. Şti. was established.


1978

Third cement mill with a capacity of 68 tons/hour was commissioned.


1980s

1982

First bulk cement export was realized.


1984

First kiln cooling group was reconstructed and its capacity was raised from 900 tons/day to 1.700 tons/day.


1986

Ready Mixed Concrete activity started with the establishment of Bornova Ready Mixed Concrete Facility.


1987

Investment made for the purpose of increasing the capacity of second kiln through pre-calcination (from clinkers of 1.300 tons/day to 1.750 tons/day)


1987

The title of our company was changed as “Batıçim Batı Anadolu Çimento Sanayii A.Ş.”.


1988

Fourth cement mill with a capacity of 200 tons/hour was commissioned.


1989

Increase of the capacity of first kiln through pre-calcination (from 1.350 tons/day to 2.000 tons/day).


1990s

1993

99,7% shares of Söke Çimento Sanayii T.A.Ş. were purchased from Ciments Francais.


1994

Title of Söke Çimento T.A.Ş. was changed as “Batısöke Söke Çimento Sanayii A.Ş.”.


1995

4th Cement Mill was established in our Batısöke plant with a capacity of 50 tons/hour.


1995

Initial public offering of Batıçim at the Istanbul Stock Exchange was concluded.


1996

Fully integrated 2nd Clinker Production Line with a capacity of 550.000 tons/year and 5th Cement mill with a capacity of 400.000 tons/year were established in our Batısöke plant.


1998

Çavdır cement production and packaging facility with a capacity of 300.000 tons/year was established.


2000s

2000

25% of the capital of Batısöke Söke Çimento Sanayii T.A.Ş., was offered to public under our portfolio.


2006

Limaş port located in Aliağa Nemrut Gulf was purchased from SDIF. Port services were started to be rendered under Batıliman brand.


2006

With the improvements on both kilns in our Batısöke plant, the clinker capacity was increased to 1.000.000 tons/year. Total clinker capacity in Batı Anadolu Group was increased to 2.400.000 tons.


2007

98% shares of Ash Plus Yapı Malzemeleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., which captures waste fly ash obtained in Soma Thermal Power Plant located in Soma district of Manisa to be used in cement and concrete production, was purchased.


2008

Batıçim Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. was established and started electricity generation and sale with the combined cycle natural gas plant with a capacity of 45 MW in Bornova,İzmir.
